Sound Bath and Introduction to Sound Healing and Meditation
Adrian Justin DiMatteo, featuring Special Guest Peter Blum
Part of a six-week series led by Adrian Justin DiMatteo
A sound bath is a multi-sensory guided meditation experience.
Sound and silence are as fundamental to the human experience as breath and light. We use sound to connect, communicate, heal and transform. Both modern science and ancient spirituality agree that sound and music can have a profound impact on human consciousness.
Together, we will explore how and why music, song and prayer can be powerful, practical tools for meditation and healing. Our session will include a guided sound meditation as well as an open conversation about these topics. Your questions and comments are welcome and appreciated as part of this co-created experience.
Singing bowls, gongs, flutes, crystal instruments, drums, guitars, and a range of other tools are used throughout the journey. Vibrations and overtones produced by these powerful instruments can be felt throughout the body. Sound baths hold space for deep relaxation, emotional release, and setting intentions for the future.
The event will include an orientation to the vast world of sound healing and meditation to better integrate the experience. In addition, we will plant seeds of intention for participation in this program and assign pods of students who will be partners in learning accountability throughout the six weeks, culminating in a group sound meditation to be offered in the closing workshop.
